General Acoustics has developed and subsequently applied the DSLP-Technology over many years and in numerous projects very successfully.

Up to now, common hydroacustical and geophysical methods could not detect the phase lines between different sediment layers with low differences in acoustical impedance, not even the phase limits between highly concentrated suspensions, sediments and soils.
In opposition to those former methods DSLP detects easily all such phase limits and even smallest differentials of the inner structure of all kinds of material (even with small or no difference in acoustical impedance perceived).

DSLP is a technology for distinctive, high precision detection of sediment layers or soils.

Furthermore, DSLP Is today the only measuring system, which detects the real solid bottom and any significant suspension layers above it under all environmental working conditions.
