To protect ADCPs and other equipment in long term deployments, we used a new nano anti-fouling coating.
A single application of new nano anti-fouling coating has significantly reduced the growth on the ADCP, even after a 6 month deployment in warm and highly nutritious waters. During this 6 month period, the ADCP was retrieved and cleaned twice. As shown in the photos, it is super easy to clean the coated surfaces from any bio-fouling !
